Session Overview:
Psychedelic Assisted Therapy (PAT) is an evolving treatment modality which has implications for client care,, counselor scope of practice with multicultural and ethical implications for use.
Learning Objectives:
- The history of psychedelic-assisted therapy as well as the implications for its use in modern therapeutic treatment will be covered.
- Examine the role of the counselor during psychedelic-assisted therapy sessions, including ethical and multicultural considerations as they consider its use and efficacy for specific client populations.
- Strengthen understanding of the implications (clinical and research) of PAT.
